How to get the recommended experience most of our players use:

Basic instructions for 1.8.x:

1. Download and install MinecraftForge
2. Start the launcher, press “Edit Profile” and set “Use Version” to the release of Minecraft with Forge installed
3. Hit “Save Profile”, and press “Play”
4. Quit Minecraft
5. Download and Install Liteloader
   • In the “Inherent From” box, select the version with Minecraft Forge we just installed
   • Feel free to rename this version something simpler if you like
6. Start the launcher, and play the version of Minecraft with Forge and Liteloader
7. Quit Minecraft
8. Download VoxelMap, InvTweaks, and any mother mods you want
9. Put your mods in your .minecraft/mods folder
10. Run Minecraft and enjoy!

 

Remember, if this seems overwhelming, it is entirely optional.  You can definitely join our server without it!
